WNBA 2024 Rookie of The Year Caitlin Clark was never known to be someone who wears provocative clothing. In fact, while she is also often praised for her fashion choice, she is known to be more on the chic and practical side, rather than sensual. With this in mind, sports broadcaster and journalist Jason Whitlock expressed his honest opinion on Clark wearing an extra low neckline dress, and compared her to Chicago Sky player Angel Reese.
In one of the recent episodes of his program “Fearless,” Whitlock also touched on Caitlin Clark’s fashion for when she received her TIME Magazine award as the 2024 Athlete of The Year. During the event, Clark wore a black dress that has a low neckline.
Whitlock took the opportunity to compare this to Angel Reese’s case, who recently received backlash for posting an extra skimpy outfit for New Year’s Eve, which most people compared to what an OnlyFans model would look like.
“Angel Reese wants to be somebody’s trophy wife,” Whitlock said. “She has no interest in playing basketball and that is the primary difference between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.”
“This dress is completely inappropriate for her,” he added, now talking about Caitlin Clark’s dress. “She’s completely out of her lane. Caitlin Clark is the wholesome girl next door—she’s not an OnlyFans model. Why is she doing this? Why did she get baited into trying to compete with Angel Reese and a handful of these other women who think they’re in some sort of fashion show, who are trying to launch only fans careers, who are trying to attract NBA players to be interested in [them]?”
Whitlock reiterated his point about how Caitlin Clark has a different image and brand around herself: “She is a girl next door. She is someone’s wife, not someone’s side piece.”
Jason Whitlock on Caitlin Clark TIME Outfit: “She Looks Ridiculous”
Jason Whitlock was never a fan of Caitlin Clark wearing a low-neckline dress for her TIME magazine 2024 Athlete of The Year event. In the past weeks, Whitlock also expressed how he felt over the fashion choice for the WNBA star, which he called a “slut dress.”
“She looks ridiculous,” he posted on X. “She’s off brand. She’s girl next door but they want your daughters thinking you have to slut it up no matter how accomplished you are.”
The faux celebration of Caitlin Clark wearing this slut dress is how you know she’s been captured. She looks ridiculous. She’s off brand. She’s girl next door but they want your daughters thinking you have to slut it up no matter how accomplished you are. pic.twitter.com/w46AGisqNd

Still, Whitlock believes it’s not Caitlin Clark’s personal fashion decision but rather those working behind the cameras. He added: “She’s not making these decisions. She has no idea what’s happening right now. She’s a hick along for the ride. She thinks she’s empowering young girls.”
She’s not making these decisions. Nike, her agents. A band of handlers are indoctrinating her into the lifestyle/occult/feminism/sexual liberation. She has no idea what’s happening right now. She’s a hick along for the ride. She thinks she’s empowering young girls. https://t.co/gEJtyod7H4
