Cameron Brink recently dropped her reaction to Layshia Clarendon being recently inducted into the LGBTQ Sports Hall of Fame. Brink and Clarendon played for one season together in the Los Angeles Sparks, in the former’s rookie season with the WNBA. However, her first ever season with the league was cut-short after an ACL injury.
Layshia Clarendon played 11 seasons with the WNBA for various teams, including the Los Angeles Sparks. They are the first ever openly non-binary WNBA player, and kicked off their career after being selected by the Indiana Fever as the ninth overall pick in the very first round of the 2013 WNBA draft.
“So proud of you ILY (I Love You)” Cameron Brink posted to honor Layshia Clarendon.
Both Cameron Brink and Clarendon played in the 2023-2024 WNBA season together. In her rookie season for the team, Brink managed a 7.5 point average, with 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists. Meanwhile, in the final season of her career, Clarendon put up an average of 7.6 points in each game, grabbing 2.7 rebounds and assisting 3.2 times.

Despite her rookie season with the WNBA being cut short, Cameron Brink still managed to create a lasting impression. Currently, Brink is still undergoing rehabilitation for her ACL injury. She was also named in the Lunar Owls basketball roster, and will be playing in the second season of the tournament.
Cameron Brink’s Lunar Owls To Next Play Against Rose BC
On another note, Cameron Brink’s Unrivaled team, the Lunar Owls will be locking horns with the Rose basketball club as the inaugural season of the 3-on-3 tournament comes close to an end. Even without Brink, the Lunar Owls have been stellar in the first ever season of the Unrivaled League, especially with Napheesa Collier leading their offense.

The Lunar Owls have already secured a spot in the playoffs and are coming here after meeting the Phantom basketball club. In that game, the Lunar Owls won with a final score of 92-79, after Napheesa Collier etched 33 points on the scoreboard, grabbing 12 rebounds and assisting twice. Skylar Diggins-Smith added another 25 points for the team, while Allisha Gray added another 23 points, with four boards and four assists each.

Currently, the Lunar Owls are riding a three-game winning streak. While Cameron Brink will only be playing in the second season of the Unrivaled League, the Lunar Owls are playing in this season with Allisha Gray, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Shakira Austin, Courtney Williams and Napheesa Collier. The team is coached by DJ Sackmann.
