Cameron Brink, Los Angeles Sparks, got real about her ACL injury and rehab in the latest episode of her podcast ‘Straight to Cam,’ which she co-hosts with Steph Curry’s sister, Sydel Curry-Lee.
In the episode, which featured special guest Kayla Nicole, Brink discussed the highs and lows of her rehabilitation for her torn ACL, which happened during her rookie season in the WNBA with the Los Angeles Sparks. In fact, her injury cut her first year with the league short. Brink could also not play in the inaugural season with the Unrivaled League as a result of her ACL injury.
“It’s flown by, honestly. It feels like a whirlwind. Now I feel like people don’t talk about it as much, this is the hardest part for me because I’m just finally starting to do the jumping, the running, the cutting, slightly. I’ve never been so gassed in my life. I’m not an athlete right now and the same thing with shooting. I’m not making shots. I feel like I’m just having to relearn everything so anyone going through an injury whether that’s ACL, Achilles, anything just know that towards the end give yourself grace as you did in the beginning.” Cameron Brink spoke about her ACL rehab in the podcast episode with co-host Sydel Curry-Lee and special guest, Kayla Nicole.
Despite sitting out plenty of games in her rookie season in the WNBA and also the entirety of the Unrivaled League, Cameron Brink has definitely managed a busy schedule. The 23-year-old has collaborated with a number of brands, including Urban Decay, during her rest period. Brink will be featured next in the 2026 WNBA season.

Cameron Brink’s Podcast Guest, Kayla Nicole, Discusses Dealing With Trolls
In the same podcast episode, Cameron Brink’s special guest, Kayla Nicole, was quizzed about how she deals with trolls. Nicole has been at the receiving end of plenty of hate, especially after her ex-boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, started dating pop-singer Taylor Swift. Nicole has been accused of even stalking her ex and his current girlfriend just for showing up to this year’s Super Bowl between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
“No.1 is just logging the f*** out. Because it’s not the real world.” Kayla Nicole said to Cameron Brink and Sydel Curry-Lee.

Kayla Nicole went on to suggest psych evaluations for those who create fake Instagram profiles and troll others. Currently, Nicole is busy expanding her wellness brand ‘Tribe Therepe’ which focuses on workout equipment and fitness routines.
