Los Angeles Sparks legend and three-time WNBA champion Candace Parker was stunned by the overall look and style of American rapper, singer, and actress Lauryn Hill at the 2025 Met Gala.

Over at Instagram, Candace Parker shared to her story a photo of rapper and actress Lauryn Hill, as she stuns with her look for the recent 2025 Met Gala.

“Yoooo,” Parker wrote as her story caption.

Lauryn Hill made a stunning debut at the 2025 Met Gala, embracing a regal and culturally rich aesthetic that paid homage to Ghanaian royalty. She wore a butter-yellow tuxedo gown designed by Jude Dontoh, co-founder of the fashion label Tribe of God. The ensemble featured a sculptural train that cascaded dramatically behind her, adding an air of grandeur to her presence. The intricate embroidery throughout the gown reflected themes of Afro-spiritual symbolism and monarchy, reinforcing the historical significance of her look.

One of the most symbolic elements of Hill’s appearance was the Benkyinie umbrella held above her as she ascended the Met steps. In Ghanaian tradition, this umbrella is used to shade kings and esteemed leaders, signifying exalted status and reverence.

This detail added a layer of storytelling to her ensemble, emphasizing her influence and legacy in the music industry. She accessorized with a cerulean blue Hermès Kelly bag, which provided a deliberate color contrast, reflecting both her elegant femininity and her dominance in a male-dominated rap community.

Candace Parker Rumored to be NBA Analyst for Amazon Prime Coverage

Amazon Prime Video is making waves in the sports broadcasting world, and Candace Parker is rumored to be one of the high-profile figures sought for its NBA coverage. Sources indicate that Amazon has been in discussions with Parker, along with other basketball legends, as it prepares to launch its NBA on Prime programming for the 2025-26 season.

While Amazon has already secured Dwyane Wade, Steve Nash, and Udonis Haslem for its NBA coverage, Parker’s potential involvement would add another layer of expertise and star power to the broadcast team.

Reports suggested that she would serve as a studio analyst, covering both NBA and WNBA games, continuing her role as a leading voice in basketball media. However, the deal has not yet been finalized, and Amazon has declined to comment on the ongoing negotiations.

Candace Parker is a three-time WNBA champion (2016, 2021, 2023), a two-time WNBA MVP (2008, 2013), and the WNBA Finals MVP in 2016, making her one of the most decorated players in league history.
