Charles Barkley is an NBA Hall of Famer who was drafted in 1984 by the Philadelphia 76ers. He played 16 seasons on the NBA. He played for the 76ers, Phoenix Suns and the Houston Rockets. Barkley now is a NBA analyst for TNT. Charles Barkley never won an NBA Championship but he was a NBA MVP in 1993 and has won Olympic Gold Medals in 1992 and 1996.
Charles Barkley played for the University of Auburn where he was an All-American and after when he was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 1984 he was the All-Rookie First Team in 1985. He led the league in rebounds and was voted MVP when he led the Phoenix Suns to the NBA Championship.
Charles Barkley Not Leaving TNT Network This Year
Charles Barkley made the decision Tuesday night that he his not leaving Warner Bros. Discovery. Barkley inked a 10-year deal with TNT Sports in 2022, he announced that in June it would be his last year broadcasting next year. He quoted ” I ain’t going nowhere other than TNT. But I have made the decision that no matter what happens, next year is going to be my last year on television.” Even though he will not co-host games he will still full-fill his contract for TNT, and only TNT sports.
Luis Silberwasser, the chairman and chief executive of TNT Sports called Barkley ” one of the best and most beloved sportscasters in the history of television.” Most fans now , know Barkley with his involvement with interviews with players and his personality. Also, if you were a fan in the 80’s-90’s you knew him as a player.
Barkley is part of the “Inside the NBA” series with co-host Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal-he is to remain with TNT Sports despite being sued by WBD for NBA rejection offer of 1.8 billion per year from a bid from Amazon to stream league games.

Even thought Charles Barkley has never won a NBA Championship he has accomplished so mush in his NBA career. From being a NBA MVP, 11x time All-Star, 5x NBA First Team and his number 34 has been retired with the Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns.
Charles Barkley is an NBA Icon. He was and always will be loved by fans and its humbling to see that the NBA and its fans will see him for one more year at the NBA desk at pre-games before games and at halftime and post games. Hes been a great host for the TNT Sports Network.
Barkley believes that the lawsuit will subside and that it will be won by the network. With that it was enough for him to continue this year for TNT Sports and will full-fill his contract with TNT for the 10 years that he signed in 2022.
