Terry Rozier was reunited with his former teammate LaMelo Ball during the Charlotte Hornets’ preseason match against the Miami Heat, which they won with a score of 111-108.

Rozier played with Ball for four seasons in Charlotte before going to Miami via trade. The 30-year-old guard still has a soft spot for LaMelo Ball, as Rozier recently gave his former backcourt partner props.
“He’s generational, I tell him that all the time,” Rozier said about Ball via Hornets Reddit on X (formerly known as Twitter). “That’s little bro, he’s real good. This team is only going to go as far as he takes them having him be healthy. He knows what he gotta do.”

LaMelo Ball aims to bounce back this year after an injury-ravaged 2023-24 campaign, where he only made 22 regular season appearances, averaging 23.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game on 43.3 percent shooting from the field.
This summer, the Charlotte Hornets have been busy this offseason, integrating new head coach Charles Lee while re-signing Seth Curry and Miles Bridges to extensions, among others.

LaMelo Ball performed well for the Charlotte Hornets during their preseason victory against the Miami Heat, recording 24 points, six rebounds, and four assists while knocking down six three-point shots in 23 minutes of action.

Head coach Charles Lee showered his point guard with praise, saying Ball has the potential to be one of the league’s top two-way players.
“On top of being a two-way player, I’ve also loved the way he’s been able to play with the ball in his hands and off the ball. His improved running habits off the ball, getting some more catch-and-shoot threes, and trusting his teammates.” Lee stated.
