Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky punctuated their schedule in the first half of the 2024 WNBA season with an exclamation mark, as they eked out a 93-85 win over the defending league champions Las Vegas Aces Tuesday night in Sin City.
Just like usual, Sky star rookie Angel Reese got a double-double in that contest, as she finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds to go with three assists in 35 minutes of action. Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that she had an incredible plus-minus of +26 against the Aces. That seems to suggest that Reese’s positive presence on the floor for the Sky was through the roof, as no other Chicago player posted a better plus-minus than +16.
Reese also set a new rookie record against the Aces.

Angel Reese, Chicago Sky heads to a long break after statement win

Thanks in part to Reese’s impact on the Sky in the Aces game, Chicago managed to stop a two-game skid, Before the win over Las Vegas, the Sky suffered back-to-back losses to the New York Liberty — the team the Aces defeated in the 2023 Finals.

The win over Las Vegas also has Chicago improving to a 10-14 record which is good for the eighth spot in the standings.
Reese enters the All-Star break with averages of 13.5 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game.
Reese and the Sky will return to action on Aug. 15 to play the Phoenix Mercury at home.
