The Cavaliers became the 6th team in NBA history to have multiple 15+ game win streaks in a single season. They won their 15th straight game for the 2nd time this season.
Under the leadership of head coach Kenny Atkinson, the team boasts an NBA-best record of 54-10, securing their spot in the playoffs. The Cleveland Cavaliers are the 7th team in NBA history to win at least 55 of their first 65 games.
The Cavaliers Season Review
They are the first team with multiple 15-game win streaks in a single season since the ’06-’07 Phoenix Suns. They went 15-0 to start the season and went on a 12-game winning streak a few months back.
The Cavs have done all this while giving shooting guard Donovan Mitchell the fewest minutes of his career, navigating a mid-season trade, and using their entire bench. So far, they are having one of the greatest seasons ever.
The Cavaliers clinched the Central Division for the first time since the 2017-18 season. Cleveland is on pace to win 69 or 70 games this season.
The Cavs are 19-1 in their last 20 games. They have been on a mission this season and could make a deep run in the playoffs to challenge the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference.
