Spencer Dinwiddie is not buying the idea the Dallas Mavericks made a huge mistake in trading Luka Doncic for Anthony Davis last February.

Speaking on the Club 520 podcast, Dinwiddie urges the Dallas Mavericks supporters to stop hating on the trade despite the team’s recent struggles.
“They are both my friends and L (Luka Doncic) to me is probably the best offensive player in the NBA right now,” Dinwiddie said. “But AD might be the best two-way player. Probably him and Giannis (Antetokounmpo). So it’s a tough position to be in like I said.”

“The only thing that sucks is they’re acting like AD is a bum, that’s the crazy part. You could feel how you feel about the trade. Win, lose, better for now, better for the future, whatever it may be. We’ve got to stop acting like AD isn’t AD bro. We got to stop,” he added.
Anthony Davis looked rusty in the Dallas Mavericks-Orlando Magic game
The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a 101-92 road win against the Orlando Magic last Thursday night, improving to a 36-38 record – good for the 10th seed in the Western Conference.

Jaden Hardy came off the bench and recorded 22 points (team-high), three rebounds, and five three-pointers on 7-for-12 shooting from the field. Anthony Davis had 17 points and seven rebounds but only went 5-for-19 shooting from the field. This was AD’s second game back from a long layoff.
Brandon Williams, Max Christie, and Klay Thompson added 14, 12, and 12 points.
