The Dallas Mavericks have a hurdle of a mountain to climb if they want to win their second NBA championship.
Everyone knows they have a dynamic duo in Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic. The two made the Finals despite not having the best roster against the Celtics. It seemed like the bookies were right about picking the Celtics as Finals winners after convincingly winning Game 1.

However, that doesn’t remove the fact that the series is far from over. In fact, one popular rap artist makes a huge bet that the Dallas Mavericks will be able to turn things around and win the series.
Drake makes a huge bet on the Dallas Mavericks winning the NBA Finals over the Boston Celtics

Drake is more than just a popular rapper as he’s heavily involved in basketball culture. Not only is he heavily connected with some of the game’s bigger names, but he’s also a brand ambassador for the Toronto Raptors.
Anyone can tell that Drake loves the game as much as any other fan. However, he takes it a step further by engaging in sports gambling regarding the game. Before Game 1, the One Dance singer made a huge bet and shared it with his followers:

The fact that Drake made a huge $500,000 bet on the Mavericks is astounding on itself and is a minor flex on Drake’s part that he can wager such an amount on the Mavericks winning the series.
The Toronto native claiming that he’s from Texas in the caption has been recently put into question. However, it doesn’t deny that the Mavericks are talented enough to have a superstar believe in their ability to win the Finals.
Will the Mavericks live up to Drake’s lofty expectations?

Drake may be regretting his punt after seeing the Dallas Mavericks lose terribly to the Celtics. Luka Doncic was the only one who showed up for the Mavs on the offensive side of the ball while they weren’t able to stop Jaylen Brown from scoring.
It will be a tough series for the mavericks, but they have the talent (and Drake’s trust) to push them through.
