The Dallas Mavericks want to run it back to the NBA Finals, and they know they couldn’t do so without Kyrie Irving. The guard who was known to be mercurial is enjoying his basketball alongside Luka Doncic, and it’s expected that he will continue his high-end production to help the Mavericks return to the Finals next year.
While Irving is focused on his physical and mental recovery, his basketball-related activities aren’t stopping any time soon. In fact, his partnership with Chinese shoe brand ANTA is releasing a brand new colorway for his signature shoe.
ANTA will release the new ANTA 1 colorway soon
Basketball Forever’s Tristen Flores revealed that the brand is releasing another new colorway of Kyrie’s signature ANTA 1. Named Kaleidoscope, the colorway promises to be the coolest one yet:
Like the KAI 1’s before it, the ANTA 1 ‘Kaileidoscope’ Colorway takes what made Irving’s Nike shoes so popular, while remaining true to the core principles of Irving’s game: strength, agility, focus, and speed.
“The ‘KAILEIDOSCOPE’ colorway is a testament to Kyrie’s game – constantly evolving, endlessly captivating, and always leaving opponents guessing,” Shaneika Warden, ANTA’s color design director, said.
Designers Jared Subawon and Astin Davis added, “We wanted to capture that energy and bring it to life through this colorway, allowing fans to experience a piece of Kyrie’s brilliance every time they lace up.”
The colorway already promises to be a must-buy for sneakerheads as it sports a great combination of teal and orange. Fans are happy to see Uncle Drew still thrive with ANTA despite being dropped by Nike for antisemitism.
Dallas Mavericks fans expect to see more of the same from Irving in the coming season
While ANTA is pushing through with the launch of the Kaleidoscope colorway, Mavericks fans are hoping that their star guard will be able to recover from his injuries and help the team win their second title.
He was phenomenal for the Mavs last season despite taking time off due to his injuries. He averaged 25.6 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 5.2 APG, and 1.3 SPG last season on 49.7% shooting and 41.1% from deep.
If he performs to the same level next season, it wouldn’t be weird to expect the Mavs to make another deep postseason run.
