There’s a possibility that Luka Doncic might not be available for the Dallas Mavericks for Saturday’s Game 3 against the Oklahoma City Thunder since he is currently dealing with knee and ankle injuries.

Luka Doncic, hobbled by a sprained knee since Game 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round, injured his ankle in a collision with Oklahoma City Thunder guard Cason Wallace on Thursday. However, he still managed to record 29 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and five three-pointers in the 119-110 victory.

“He just stepped on my foot, but nothing serious,” Doncic said about his incident with Wallace after Game 2. “I know he didn’t do it on purpose, so nothing serious. We just thought it was a foul. Other people would get a foul call on that one.”

“Just mentality. I think today was one of the hardest games I had to play. I’m battling out there. I try and do my best to help the team win, but just my mentality — have a great start, and then the team is going to follow me,” he added.

Dallas Mavericks cannot afford to lose Luka Doncic

The Dallas Mavericks are vulnerable without Luka Doncic because the team has a 4-8 record without him. However, he rarely misses playoff games and is willing to fight through pain.

In this playoffs, the Slovenian superstar is averaging 28.4 points, 9.1 assists, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. However, he has been inefficient since he has only shot 40.9 percent from the field and 26.5 percent from three-point range.

The Dallas Mavericks are already without one of their top outside shooters, Maxi Kleber, who has been ruled out for the series because of a dislocated shoulder.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, meanwhile, don’t have any reported injuries ahead of Game 3.
