Dallas Mavericks’ Mark Cuban Starts Controversial Poll, Gets 1 Clear Winner

Many would say that the Dallas Mavericks are where they are now because of Mark Cuban. To say that the Shark Tank star has been a huge part of the team’s successes over the past two decades is an understatement.

However, his interests go far beyond what’s happening on the hardwood. Aside from his Shark Tank stint, he’s also known to speak his mind when it comes to politics. He’s not particularly shy about lashing out at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Cuban has been loud with his criticisms since the former president declared his intentions to return to the White House. Not only has he made it a point to correct Trump on specific issues, but he also cracked several mean-spirited jokes at the real estate mogul and former reality TV star’s expense.

In an attempt to combat his presidential bid even further, he started a poll on one of his social media pages about the current presidential race. However, the result was far from what he wanted.

The public figure crafted a poll on Twitter with a loaded question that heavily skewed in Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’ favor. However, his fanbase on the platform made their thoughts clear on the matter.

    Per The Spun’s Andrew Holleran:

“Who’s persona and character would you like to see young children grow up to have?” Cuban wrote on social media.

Trump won the poll with 68.9 percent of the votes, while Harris received 31.1 percent of the votes. More than 800,000 people had voted in the poll by the time it ended on X.

Some will see it as a blunder on Cuban’s part to have even asked the question on the platform. Many political analysts have stated that the Elon Musk-owned social media platform is a haven for right-wing thinkers and views. Moreover, the billionaire owner has thrown his weight behind the former host of The Apprentice.

If the Dallas Mavericks owner asked the question on another platform, he may have gotten a more favorable response. However, doing so would also make him look unfavorable towards people who want nothing to do with the political turmoil taking over the nation.
