More than a few Dallas Mavericks fans out there are still pinching themselves over Klay Thompson‘s arrival via free agency. After all, a year or so ago, it was virtually unimaginable that the five-time All-Star would turn his back on the Golden State Warriors. The odds of him suiting up for the Mavs were even slimmer, to say the least.
Yet here we all are.
Dallas Mavericks News: Klay Thompson Previews New Mavs Jersey
Even Thompson still has to be in a transition phase now that he’s with a new team. The 34-year-old recently caught a glimpse of his new No. 31 jersey for the Mavs and Klay could not help but share the unfamiliar visual on social media:
“Ah yea boi.”

“Ah yea boi,” Thompson wrote in his caption.
Fans will require some getting used to seeing Thompson in a Mavs uniform. After all, the four-time NBA champion shooting guard spent the last 13 years with the Warriors, and it’s not as if that’s going to be erased from the memory of supporters anytime soon.
At this point, however, Klay is just focused on building a new legacy in Dallas. Right now, his eyes are fixed on his fifth career championship — except that this time around, it’s not going to be alongside Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and the rest of his ex-Warriors teammates.
