Dallas Mavericks news: There’s no doubt that the Boston Celtics boast some of the most passionate fans in all of the NBA. Be that as it may, Mavs superstar Luka Doncic clearly isn’t concerned about the type of rowdy welcome he’s going to get in Bean Town for the NBA Finals.
After all, Doncic played in Europe before taking his talents to the NBA, so there’s no denying that this young man has been through far worse.
Dallas Mavericks News: Luka Doncic Reveals ‘Rowdiest’ Fan Encounter
Ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night, Doncic was asked to share his experience of the craziest set of opposing fans he’s ever had to face. The 25-year-old didn’t even have to think about his answer before revealing the wrath of Panathinaikos fans in Greece:
“It was quarterfinals of Euroleague against Panathinaikos in Panathinaikos. The crowd went crazy and they started [the game] winning 20-0, so imagine that.”

If you’re familiar with how fans are out in Europe then you’d know what Doncic is talking about here. Panathinaikos supporters, in particular, have a reputation for having one of, if not the most intense fanbases in all of the land.
Sorry, Celtics fans, but Doncic isn’t going to have any issues with all the jeering at the TD Garden. He’s been through the worst, and it doesn’t seem like the Celtics faithful are going to throw him off his game.
You can be sure, however, that Bostonians are going to do everything they can to try and do so.
