Dan Hurley, head coach of the UConn Huskies men’s basketball team, recently dropped his reaction to Jaylin Stewart’s performance in the team’s most recent game against Marquette. In the second-last game of the regular season, the UConn Huskies were paired with the Marquette Golden Eagles and won the game.
While Jaylin Stewart only scored four points in total for the Huskies against Marquette, his putback slam in the second half got the ball rolling for UConn to win the game. Stewart’s move definitely impressed HC Dan Hurley who spoke about it in his post-game press conference.
“Yeah, it’s like we are not seeing many of those types of highlights. I mean those are probably pretty common or not pretty common cos that was exceptional. I mean that was explosive. You know that’s the type of instincts and talents that the kids got. “You know he’s got an awesome future but that was a big momentum play. And you know I just took a sip of my orange piss or whatever the fans of the other program say I drink,” Dan Hurley said to reporters in the post-game press conference.
Dan Hurley has been coaching the UConn Huskies since 2018 and has made it to the NCAA Championships twice, in 2023 and 2024. Last year, Hurley also managed to win the highly-coveted Naismith Coach of the Year award, and the Big East Coach of the Year.

Dan Hurley’s UConn Huskies To Meet Seton Hall Pirates Next Up
Dan Hurley is grinning as his team, the UConn Huskies, gear up to lock horns with the Seton Hall Pirates in the final game of the regular season. Currently, the UConn Huskies are fourth in the Big East with a 13-6 conference score and 21-9 overall. The Huskies are three spots below the ruling St. John’s Red Storm who have a 17-2 conference score, with 26-4 overall.

The UConn Huskies are coming to this game after playing against the Marquette Golden Eagles and winning with a final score of 72-66. In that game, UConn’s offense was led by Alex Karaban who chalked up 21 points in total, grabbing seven rebounds and assisting once, while Liam McNeeley added another 11 points, with three boards and three helpers each. Samson Johnson, Solo Ball and Hassan Diarra each put up ten points for the team in the winning effort.

With the win against the Marquette Golden Eagles, the UConn Huskies are riding a three-game winning streak. The team is surely eager to add another win to their streak and finish their season with a bang.
