Kiara Morisson, wife of Sacramento Kings star DeMar DeRozan, expressed her support and pride for daughter Diar DeRozan for her stellar performance inside the court, seemingly following in the footsteps of her father.
During the Hype Her Hoopes Tournament, Morrison shared a clip of Diar in full display of her ball skills under the MXB Basketball program.
“My big girl,” Morrison wrote in her story.
The young DeRozan’s team ultimately won the tournament, making this potentially the first of the many milestones Diar would go through as a budding basketball star.

During a play-in tournament game back in 2023 between the Chicago Bulls and the Toronto Raptors, DeMar DeRozan’s daughter Diar made headlines by shouting loudly every time the Raptors attempted a free throw. Her distracting screams went viral and became a major talking point during the game.

Ultimately, the Raptors ended up missing 18 free throws out of 36 attempts, making it their worst performance from the line in a single game since 1997. The Bulls capitalized on the opportunity and got pumped up by it. In the end, they won the game with a final score of 109-105, leading them to advance to the playoffs that season.

In an interesting twist of fate, DeMar DeRozan found himself once again reunited with a former teammate, as a three-way trade deal brought Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls to the Sacramento Kings, where DeRozan is playing now.

As the trade deadline nears, more and more teams are signing their huge trade deals. One of the biggest trade news for far was the shocking trade that brought star player Anthony Davis from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks, and young superstar Luka Doncic from the Mavs to the Lakers. While not as huge of a deal as that, the trade that brought De’Aaron Fox from the Sacramento Kings to the San Antonio Spurs also gave way for a reunion of two former Bulls.

In a three-team deal between the Kings, the Spurs, and the Bulls, aside from Fox, Zach LaVine moved from the Bulls to the Kings, reuniting him with former teammate DeRozan. The trade also had the Kings receive Sidy Cissoko from the Spurs along with multiple draft picks. The Bulls, on the other hand, got Zach Collins, Tre Jones, and Kevin Huerter from the Spurs and Kings.
DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine were teammates on the Chicago Bulls from the 2021-2022 season through the 2023-2024 season.
