One of Angel Reese’s standouts is her double-double expertise on the court, which many compare to Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman. However, Rodman’s similarities with Reese made his daughter, Trinity, recall her tarnished relationship with his father.
During the previous WNBA season, Reese rallied the pre-game dressed in an old-fashioned Detroit Pistons-styled jersey with Rodman’s name. She made an unusual move then, given her fashionista style, in recognition of her similarities with the “Worm” in elite rebounding skills.
In the present, Trinity brought this photo in an interview with the host of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Alex Cooper, last Wednesday.

Throughout the podcast, the USWNT star disclosed her resentment towards her “alcoholic” father, as revealed in her stories.
“I’m not throwing shade at anybody, but I remember Angel Reese wore his jersey in one game, and there was a picture of them,” Trinity said.

Trinity clarified that her acknowledgment of her father only comes from his basketball legacy, but nothing goes beyond that.
“He’s really a famous basketball player, and like, style-wise, everything, (he was) inspiring. But I think as a daughter seeing that, it’s like, no shade, but damn I wish I was it,” she added.

Trinity’s interview garnered a reply from Dennis Rodman, who expressed reconciliation for his insufficiency with his daughter. Still, Trinity doesn’t acknowledge these and continues to stand with her stained bond.
“A joke. The response alone. And the attention. Wiping my hands with it and I’m done. Thank you,” Trinity wrote in response to Rodman’s statement in her previous Instagram story.
Dennis Rodman made 210 double-doubles throughout his career, averaging 7.3 points and 13.1 rebounds. Meanwhile, Angel Reese averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds last season. She made 26 double-doubles, putting her in the second all-time in the WNBA.
Dennis Rodman deletes post apologizing to daughter
Dennis Rodman released a statement in his now-deleted Instagram post asking forgiveness from his daughter, Trinity. Rodman, who long abandoned his family, seeks to mend the tarnished bond.
“Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop,” Rodman wrote with pictures of him and Trinity together.
“I will keep Trying even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time. I’m always here And tell you all the time rather it’s your voice or voicemail how proud I am.”
“I always had one wish and it was I wish my kids would call me and come see me. Hopefully one day I can get that. I’m here and I’m still trying pick up the phone you have my number, You see me calling, I’m still here Dennis RODMAN- Dad,” Rodman concluded.
Despite Dennis Rodman’s apology, Trinity disregarded her father’s offer. In her previous Instagram story, she said she was “done” with Rodman and unwilling to make amends and reconcile.
