The Denver Nuggets are gaining momentum again. Following a 129-119 loss to the Chicago Bulls at home last week, the Nuggets have gone 2-0 with back-to-back victories over the Milwaukee Bucks (127-117) and the Utah Jazz (129-93).
But there is a big test for them coming up this Tuesday night when Denver takes on the Minnesota Timberwolves in a regular-season finale.
The Timberwolves have been a big thorn in the side of Denver for some time now. It can be recalled that it was the Timberwolves who dethroned the then-reigning NBA champions Nuggets in the second round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs. This season, the Timberwolves have won all of the first three matchups with Denver, which means that Minnesota is on the cusp of sweeping the Nuggets in the regular season.
Murray, Jokic uncertain for Denver Nuggets vs. Timberwolves

However, the Nuggets could be without both guard Jamal Murray and big man Nikola Jokic against Minnesota. Murray is listed as questionable for that contest because of a hamstring issue while Jokic is probable due to a foot sprain, per Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette.
“Jamal Murray (R hamstring tightness) and Aaron Gordon (illness/R calf injury management) are questionable for tomorrow’s game against Minnesota. Nikola Jokic (L ankle impingement) and Christian Braun (L foot sprain) are probable. Julian Strawther and DaRon Holmes II are out.”
It appears that the three-time NBA Most Valuable Player is still being bothered by the ankle injury that caused him to miss five games in a row before returning to play in both of the Nuggets’ last two outings. As for Murray, he sat out the Jazz game and is in danger of missing his second straight contest.

Still, it’s fair to expect that Murray and Jokic will see action versus the Timberwolves, considering that Denver is still looking to at least keep their No. 3 position in the Western Conference. At the moment, the Nuggets have a 46-29 record — just a game ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers.
