Nikola Jokic became the first player in NBA history to record at least 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 20 assists in a game during the Denver Nuggets’ 149-141 overtime win over the Phoenix Suns last night.

The three-time league MVP notched his 29th triple-double of the 2024-25 campaign, tying his team record and stretching his career total to 149. Jokic also tied Oscar Robertson’s league record of matches in a single season with at least 15 points, 15 rebounds, and 15 assists (seven in 1961-62).
It was a collective effort for the Denver Nuggets, as seven players scored double-digit points. Besides Jokic, Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., Russell Westbrook, and Peyton Watson added 27, 25, 19, 16, 14, and 11 points.

The Denver Nuggets improved to 22-9 at home and 41-22 overall to remain the third seed in the Western Conference.
Denver Nuggets News: Nikola Jokic drops nonchalant reaction to his historic performance vs. Phoenix Suns
Nikola Jokic strengthened his bid for a fourth league MVP after his monster performance against the Phoenix Suns, but the Denver Nuggets center described it as another day in the office for him.

“We didn’t play well. We just found a way to win the game,” Jokic said on SportsCenter. “It’s gonna be nice to go finish my career, (sit) on my couch, and think I had a really good game.”
Jokic and the Denver Nuggets will recharge their batteries since they take on the West-leading Oklahoma City Thunder this Sunday.
