The Denver Nuggets are one loss away from being eliminated by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round. Despite this, Nikola Jokic doesn’t seem too concerned ahead of Game 6.
“We’re not going to go and just give them Game 6,” Jokic told reporters after Game 5. “I mean, we’ll be playing in front of our crowd. I think only the second game was kind of a blowout, and every other game was interesting. We were there. So, I think we have a chance and we will play our best.”
“It’s not enjoyable (to lose). Every close, competitive game is enjoyable for me. If it’s in the playoffs or the first game of the season, I think I play the game every day the same way. That’s the key to being prepared, of your mindset. Every game is the same. That’s how I approach the games,” he added.
Jokic put up another monster stat line in Game 5, notching 44 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and five three-pointers on 17-for-25 shooting from the field. However, the Denver Nuggets still lost 112-105.

Jamal Murray is confident that the Denver Nuggets can win Game 6 and force Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The one-time NBA champion said he will draw from his championship experience to help his team see this through.
“Very confident. Always am,” Murray said via Pat Graham of The Associated Press. We’re going to go play the game in Denver, and then we get to come back.”
“We’ve just got to keep a good mindset. It’s not like we’re playing a bad brand of basketball. It’s not like we’re playing selfish. It comes down to getting a couple stops to win the game,” he added.
