DiJonai Carrington and her girlfriend, NaLyssa Smith will be playing together for the Dallas Wings in the upcoming WNBA season which will kick off in May. Dallas has been desperately trying to make improvements to their roster after an embarrassing season last year. One of their moves is to bring Carrington and Smith into their squad, who both come as a package deal.
Carrington and Smith made their introductory press conference recently, and were asked about their feelings about playing alongside each other for the Dallas Wings. Carrington had a cheeky response to the question, displaying the couple’s habit of hyping each other all the time on and off the court.
“I mean, you know, we PTSO (Put that s**t on) all the time, so it is what it is,” DiJonai Carrington said in the press conference about her on-court relationship with her girlfriend, NaLyssa Smith.

DiJonai Carrington has been playing in the WNBA since 2021 after being selected by the Connecticut Sun as the 20th overall pick in the second round of the draft. Before that, Carrington played college basketball for the Stanford Cardinal from 2016 to 2020 and then for the Baylor Bears from 2020 to 2021.
Carrington and Smith have been dating on and off ever since their days at Baylor University. Their relationship has been smooth sailing for the most part, with a brief separation in between. This is the first time that Carrington and Smith will be seen playing for the same team. In the previous WNBA season, Carrington played for the Connecticut Sun, while Smith played for the Indiana Fever.

DiJonai Carrington’s College Team, Baylor Bears, Out Of March Madness
DiJonai Carrington’s college basketball team, the Baylor Bears, will not be playing in the ongoing March Madness tournament after losing in the second round of the NCAA tournament. In the NCAA 2nd round, the Baylor Bears faced the Ole Miss Rebels and lost the game with a close score of 69-63.

The Baylor Bears actually had a pretty decent regular season and finished no. 2 in the Big 12 table with a 15-3 conference score and 28-8 overall, one spot below the TCU Horned Frogs who finished at the top.

In their final game of the season against the Ole Miss Rebels, the Baylor Bears were led on the scoreboard by Aaronette Vonleh who etched 16 points, while grabbing five rebounds and assisting once, while Jada Walker added another 15 points for the team, with three boards and a pair of helpers.
