President Donald Trump appointee and Education Secretary Linda McMahon got blasted by former NBA star Etan Thomas, who criticized McMahon over the alleged errors pointed out in his official letter to Harvard.
In one of his posts on Instagram, former NBA star and Donald Trump critic Etan Thomas criticized Education Secretary Linda McMahon over her alleged mistakes in a letter to Harvard.
He captioned his post: “So let me get this straight, Linda McMahon @edsecmcmahon @lindamcmahonofficial , the Trump appointed Secretary of Education, wrote Harvard University a letter to which they responded by noting areas that are in need of correction and then posted it on social media? Much Respect @harvard 👊🏾”

Education Secretary Linda McMahon, who was appointed by President Donald Trump, recently sent a letter to Harvard University, addressing concerns about federal funding and alleged violations of education policies. Shortly after, an image surfaced online claiming that Harvard had marked up the letter with red pen corrections, highlighting spelling and grammar errors before reposting it on social media.
The viral post suggested that Harvard had publicly mocked McMahon’s writing, sparking widespread discussion and debate. Many users shared the image, believing it to be an official response from the university.

However, fact-checking source Snopes quickly debunked the claim, revealing that the corrected version of the letter did not originate from Harvard. Instead, the earliest known version was posted by an economics PhD student at MIT, who sarcastically annotated the letter before sharing it online.
A search of Harvard’s official website and social media accounts showed no trace of the marked-up letter, confirming that the university never published or endorsed the corrections.
Donald Trump appointed Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education to advance his vision of reducing federal oversight and expanding school choice. McMahon was chosen for her business acumen rather than traditional education experience, aligning with Trump’s goal of shifting education policy toward state control.
Donald Trump Urges Russia to Accept 30-Day Unconditional Ceasefire in Ukraine
President Donald Trump has urged Russia to accept a 30-day unconditional ceasefire in Ukraine, warning that any violations will result in new sanctions, following a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
While Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a three-day ceasefire to mark the 80th anniversary of World War II, Ukraine quickly accused Russia of breaking its own truce within hours, further deepening frustration over the stalled conflict.
Donald Trump is set to travel to Saudi Arabia, where U.S. officials continue discussions with Russia and Ukraine, as his administration pushes for lasting peace while balancing economic agreements with Ukraine that strengthen business ties but lack security guarantees.
