Do Donald Trump supporters really have the “undying loyalty to the person, like how MAGA critics claim? One former NBA player and now politician explained his stand on supporting Trump and the MAGA movement and where he is ready to draw the line.
In one of the recent episodes of “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” former NBA player Royce White had a discussion with the ESPN analyst on the topic of Donald Trump and MAGA supporters, and their often-criticized “undying loyalty” to the President.
“To that, I say I 1,000% agree,” White said on the question of whether the US has become more of a person-driven nation than a policy-driven one. “If you listen to my podcast, please call me crazy, myself and the other co-hosts, we always talk about policy and politics in America being more policy-driven and idea-driven than they are personality and person-driven. However, look, if Donald Trump does something I don’t agree with, I’m the first one to criticize him.”
“There is no undying loyalty to Donald Trump the person,” White went on. “What I do have a loyalty to is his courage to step up and say things that are inconvenient, because it resonates with me because I did it myself. That’s what you do.”
“But if he waivers and if he starts to not be America first, or what I think is MAGA and actually representing, the nationalist populist movement that needs to happen in this country, I’ll criticize him. And in fairness to him, I don’t think he’s going to do everything right because who can?”
Royce White officially entered politics in 2022, running in the Minnesota GOP primary for the U.S. House of Representatives, though he did not win. He later secured the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in 2024, running against Democratic incumbent Amy Klobuchar.

Donald Trump Records Historic Approval Rating on First 100 Days of Term
Donald Trump‘s approval ratings after his first 100 days in office have been notably low, with multiple polls showing his favorability hovering in the low-to-mid 40% range.

According to most averages, Trump’s approval rating sat at 45%, while his disapproval reached 52%. Some polls reported even lower numbers, such as a CNN survey that placed his approval at 41%, marking one of the lowest ratings for a president at this stage in office.
The declining numbers have been attributed to economic concerns, immigration policies, and trade tariffs, which have sparked dissatisfaction among voters.

Despite these struggles, Donald Trump has maintained strong support among Republican voters, with 54% of Republicans giving him an “A” grade for his performance.
