Cooper Flagg is one of the most-talked-about young players in basketball today because of his immense potential. After showing out in high school, the 17-year-old is headed to Durham, North Carolina to join the Duke Blue Devils soon.

Flagg signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Duke Blue Devils last October, and one of the people who was happy with the move was Grant Hill, a former school icon.
The current managing director of Team USA is a huge fan of Cooper Flagg, as Hill believes the Duke Blue Devils youngster will excel at the college and professional levels.

“I think he is great. He’ll be a great college player. I think his game may even resonate and translate better on the NBA stage. He is young. He is 17, so he is still learning,” Hill said on the Dan Patrick Show on Friday.
“Sometimes when you’re young, you have no fear. You don’t even know you’re supposed to be scared. But he has all of the tools. He has got the mental make up, too. He has some nasty in him. He isn’t afraid,” he added.

Cooper Flagg, who will turn 18 this year, has been busy this summer since he had been scrimmaging with the USA Basketball select team against the senior roster ahead of the Paris Olympics, making him the first college player to be invited to the squad since Doug McDermott and Marcus Smart in 2013.

Flagg got rave reviews from his peers after doing well against his NBA counterparts, as he showcased his outside touch, defensive chops, and ability to finish at the rim.
As early as now, the Duke Blue Devils star is the prohibitive favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, ahead of VJ Edgecombe, Dylan Harper, Tre Johnson, and Ace Bailey, among others.
