NBA legend Dwyane Wade was all praises for his wife Gabrielle Union during the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, as he took to social media to flex his wife and express his appreciation for her.
Gabrielle Union attended the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars Party in a stunning strapless black gown adorned with intricate 3D gold details. The gown shimmered beautifully, exuding the “timeless” elegance and sophistication that Dwyane Wade highlighted.
In a series of photos, Wade described his wife in a simple but sweet way.
“Timeless Beauty,” Wade wrote in his story captions.
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union first met in 2007 at a Super Bowl party they were co-hosting. Initially, sparks didn’t fly, as Union was recently divorced and Wade was still with his first wife. However, they began dating in 2010 and made their relationship public later that year.
Despite facing challenges, including a brief split in 2013 during which Wade fathered a child with another woman, they reunited and got engaged by the end of that year.

They tied the knot in a lavish Miami wedding on August 30, 2014. Their blended family includes their daughter Kaavia James, born via surrogate in 2018, and Wade’s children from previous relationships.
Dwyane Wade’s Wife Shares Major Cancer Update
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Gabrielle Union shared that her husband Dwyane Wade is already free from cancer. Recently, Wade himself revealed in a podcast that he had gone through the diagnosis and surgery in 2023 to remove the cancer that had developed in his kidneys.
“To go through removal of a good chunk of his kidney and the healing that involved, he needed us to be ok with his vulnerability,” Union said about the diagnosis. “It was a challenge to give grace and receive it.”

In a prior interview, Union described how the cancer diagnosis affected their family, a situation she described as “the absolute worst-case scenario.”
“I think I was in such shock when he told me the diagnosis,” Union said. “You hear cancer, you’re paralyzed because you think of the absolute worst-case scenario. It took all of us awhile and he didn’t tell everybody, he didn’t tell the whole family, he wanted this to be very under the radar he didn’t tell anyone.”
