Phoenix Suns legend and now NBA analyst Eddie Johnson touched on the issue of Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and offered a suggestion to the billionaire and tech mogul to “make X great.”
In his recent post on X, Eddie Johnson called out to Elon Musk with a suggestion that may be able to help with cases of people fearlessly expressing their thoughts and opinions and showing their actions on social media.
“Hey Elon Musk,” Johnson said in his post. “I have a suggestion for this company called X. Please require anyone who creates a profile on here to produce a driver’s license and/or passport, their place of employment, and [the] city they live in minus [their] address. Then let’s see if they speak their MIND!

Eddie Johnson is most known for his time with the Phoenix Suns. He played for the Suns from 1987 to 1990 and won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award in 1989.

Johnson’s statement came in response to Elon Musk’s prior post, which talked about the rise of people vandalizing Teslas in “protest” of his federal advocates and initiatives, among other things.
Elon Musk, Tesla Owners Face Backlash Over DOGE
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and a senior advisor to President Donald Trump, has faced significant backlash due to his leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has implemented aggressive cost-cutting measures, including mass layoffs and contract cancellations. This has led to protests, with some escalating into vandalism.

The “Tesla Takedown” movement, a decentralized protest effort, has organized peaceful demonstrations at Tesla showrooms worldwide, encouraging stakeholders to sell their Tesla stocks and vehicles. However, parallel acts of vandalism have occurred, often attributed to Musk’s political actions and perceived affiliations with far-right groups.
In Oregon, police responded to gunfire at a Tesla showroom around 1:45 a.m. local time. Investigators reported that at least seven shots were fired, resulting in damage to three cars and shattered windows. One bullet even penetrated an office wall and struck a computer monitor.

Lucy Grace Nelson from Colorado is facing a federal charge of malicious destruction of property for allegedly vandalizing a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colorado, in late January and February. She could face up to 20 years in prison for this.
Elon Musk has touched on this criticism and attacks, saying that everything “happened exactly as predicted.”
