Former Indiana Fever player Erica Wheeler has recently signed with the Seattle Storm, and she has asked a friend for a “Seattle welcome.”

In one of her posts on X, Seattle Storm shooting guard Erica Wheeler called out to teammate Alysha Clark for a welcome party with, in particular, some “Seattle cookies.”

“I am saying tho, Alysha Clark, can I get some welcome to Seattle cookies, soup, dinner or somethinggggggggg! I am just saying that would be nice 😎,” Wheeler jokingly posted on X.

The Seattle Storm have made significant moves in the 2025 WNBA offseason, bringing back Alysha Clark and signing Erica Wheeler to strengthen their roster. Clark, a veteran forward, previously played for the Storm and was instrumental in their WNBA championship victories. After spending time with the Las Vegas Aces, she returns to Seattle, where she has played the fifth-most games in franchise history.

Erica Wheeler, a former Indiana Fever star, joined the Storm to add veteran firepower to the backcourt. Wheeler was highly sought after in free agency, having averaged 14.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 6.7 assists while playing in Turkey.

On June 7, 2024, she became just the fourth undrafted player to reach 2,500 career points. In 2023, Wheeler became the second undrafted player, along with Becky Hammon, to reach 1,000 career assists. She has played in 297 regular season games.

In a statement, Wheeler explained her decision to play with Seattle for the 2025 season.

“Seattle is one of the most prestigious franchises in the league, and I couldn’t be more proud to share the court with players like Nneka, Alysha, Skylar, and Gabby,” she said. “I can’t wait to get to work.”

“Erica’s capacity to create plays and facilitate points is a huge add for our team,” said Storm Head Coach Noelle Quinn. “She brings a strong dedication to the game and is an incredible teammate. We’re looking forward to Erica Wheeler joining us in Seattle.”
