Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards didn’t disappoint on Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers. In their bout, Edwards led the charge and mounted a 19-point comeback to secure the 108-106 victory and improve to 18-17 in the 2024-25 NBA season.

Edwards scored the most points for the Wolves with 37 on 48.3% shooting from the field and 46.2% from downtown. The two-time All-Star contributed in other ways other than scoring as he had seven rebounds and eight assists.

Edwards was the only Wolves player who scored at least 20 points. The second-highest scorer in their win was Naz Reid, who had 18 points on 57.1% shooting off the bench.

After the game, former NBA player and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins loved how aggressive Edwards was.

“He took it over,” Perk said. “We know that Anthony Edwards, he could go off for the monster nights offensively for as scoring the ball. I thought he did an excellent job of attacking and getting in the paint. I thought coach Finch did an excellent job of putting the pieces around him so that he could have spacing.”

The former member of the Boston Celtics also complimented Ant’s playmaking. Big Perk loved how Edwards had a healthy balance of aggressive scoring and facilitating to keep his teammates active. The 2008 champion had high praise for head coach Chris Finch. According to him, moving the duo of Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle helps the shooting guard to be more assertive in taking the ball to the rack instead of settling for long-range jumpers.

Minnesota’s next game will be on Tuesday, against the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center. The team will take a day off before finishing their two-game road trip against the Orlando Magic.

Fans loved the energy that Anthony Edwards set during the game. On X (formerly Twitter), Edwards’ supporters were lively to see Edwards and the Wolves complete a comeback.

“Lil bro got cooked by the Cs and turned into MJ again. Ant man is back,” a fan said.

“Let’s go Antman CARRY THE WOLVES 🔥🔥,” another fan commented.

“They tried to write u off ant,” one fan kept the recipts.
