NBA veteran big man Andre Drummond has been in the league since he was drafted ninth overall by the Detroit Pistons in 2012. Since entering the league, he’s built a reputation as one of the best rebounding big men in history.
On Monday, he was interviewed by Keith Pompey of Philly Inquirer where he said he feels like he’s accomplished everything that he could as an individual. He spoke highly of being a major contributor in his team, the Philadelphia 76ers, who are looking to contend for the NBA championship.
“I’m at a point now where I’ve done everything individually, accolade-wise. A lot of things that guys in this league haven’t done, I’ve done it already, individually. My goal now is to win. And whatever capacity that comes in, you know, I’m down to do for the team,” Drummond said.

Drummond has accepted his role as a veteran leader off the bench, ready to contribute in more ways than one.
What are the accomplishments of Andre Drummond?
Andre Drummond has collected a few accolades in his career. However, his prime years happened during his first eight years, which were in Detroit. During his time with the Pistons, he was a prime double-double machine, scoring and rebounding with force.
He averaged 14.4 points and 13.9 rebounds during his time with the Pistons. During his eight years in Detroit, the former UConn big man was selected as an All-Star. During the 2015-16 season, he was named part of the All-NBA Third Team. So far, that has been the only time he’s been recognized as an All-NBA talent.
His time in Detroit was overshadowed by years of underwhelming campaigns, consistently missing the playoffs. During Drummond’s time, the Pistons only made the postseason twice, and they were swept in the first round in both occasions.
