Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors suffered a 144-93 loss on Thursday against the Memphis Grizzlies. Curry stood out from the others during the game because he just made two points and didn’t hit a field goal at all.
Curry shot 0-for-7 in the Warriors’ recent loss and 0-for-6 from beyond the arc in 24 minutes of action. The only shots he made were from the charity strip as he went 2-for-2 from the line. The four-time champion logged the worst +/- in the team with a -41.

Dennis Schroder, a new member of the team, struggled to make an impact on the floor. Even though the German guard only made two of twelve shots from the field, he still finished the game with five points. He tried to get into the Warriors’ system from outside the arc four times without success.
Only Andrew Wiggins, who finished with 19 points, scored in double figures among the starters. 54.5% and 80%, respectively, were Wiggins’ field goal percentages. The majority of the work for the Warriors was done by Brandin Podziemski. He shot 69.2% from the field and scored 21 points off the bench.
For the Grizzlies, Santi Aldama scored the most points as he came off the bench and had 21 points. All-Star guard Ja Morant didn’t have the best outing for Memphis and finished the game with nine points on 1-for-5 shooting from beyond the arc.
This is their second game against each other. In their first meeting, the Grizzlies couldn’t contain the Warriors and had a 123-118 victory, thanks to their total team effort. For the 2024-25 NBA season, Golden State will play against Memphis four times. Their next game will be on Jan. 4.
