Former NBA player Patrick Beverley has been out of the league since the conclusion of the 2023-24 season. Since then, he’s been playing overseas in Israel to continue his professional career. On Monday, he appeared as a guest on N3on’s YouTube channel where the content creator had a bunch of questions for Beverley.
One of the questions that the YouTuber asked Beverley was which team he’d be interested in playing for this season. The former Milwaukee Bucks guard chose a Western Conference team that features a trio of stars as his preferred team in the league.
“The Phoenix Suns,” Beverley answered. “I’ve played with a bunch of superstars, right? I’d like to see how Bradley Beal, Devin Booker and KD how they prepare. Because I’ve played with James Harden, Dwight Howard, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, [Joel] Embiid, [Tyrese] Maxey, Giannis [Antetokounmpo], Damian Lillard, Karl-Anthony Towns, LeBron [James], Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook.”

Throughout his career, Beverley has been fortunate enough to play with some of the biggest stars in the league. As a role player, he got to see how each of his All-Star teammates prepared for every game, which he found interesting. If he plays for the Phoenix Suns this season, their Big 3 will be added to the list of great players he’s played with.
How can the Phoenix Suns play with Beverley?
Patrick Beverley’s time with the NBA came to an end before the start of the 2024-25 season. He didn’t get offered new deals from teams, which resulted in him opting to play overseas, something he’d done before his NBA career even began. The country where he received a contract was in Israel and he’s stayed there since the season started.
The YouTuber was curious about what it was like to play professionally in a foreign country.
“Fire,” Beverley said when asked how it’s like living in Israel. “We got a European league where we play in, also. Fire as f**k.”
“I think the NBA. Quarter’s a lot shorter, though… 10 minutes.”

According to Beverley, his team (Hapoel Tel Aviv) plays for two professional teams. The first one is at the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He’s played seven games, averaging 9.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
The team also played for the EuroCup league. He’s played 10 games in the European league, averaging 12.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
With the Israel team, he’s become a sniper from downtown, making over 35% of his shots. With the Phoenix Suns, he’ll be a 3-and-D guard.
