Since entering the NBA in 2016, Buddy Hield has always been the best shooter on his team. But now that he’s with the Golden State Warriors, that may no longer be true.

Buddy Hield came to this realization when he spoke to local reporters recently. However, he said he is excited to learn from his new Golden State Warriors teammates, particularly Stephen Curry.
“With Tyrese Haliburton (in Indiana), we’d have competitive duels about that, but Steph is, he’s the one. I’ve been watching all my life so (I’ll be) a sponge. (I’m) ready to learn, ready to watch him and see how he goes about his shooting mechanics, the way he goes about he works out, his routine,” Hield said via NBC Sports Bay Area.
“I think it’ll be an interesting year for me, just to learn from him and see how he goes about himself, his professionalism. I think that’s why I’m excited,” he added.

Buddy Hield was the Golden State Warriors’ marquee acquisition, as he joined the team via a sign-and-trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. This is the Bahamian international’s fifth team he has played for in his NBA career.
Buddy Hield has big shoes to fill for the Golden State Warriors
Buddy Hield is coming off his worst scoring output since his rookie season in 2016-17, averaging 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists on 44/37/88 shooting splits across a league-high 84 regular season games for the Indiana Pacers and the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 31-year-old’s role won’t change in Golden State, as he will be tasked with getting buckets and stretching the floor with his elite outside shooting.
Replacing a franchise icon like Klay Thompson is not easy. However, it is worth noting that Hield has converted the most three-pointers in the NBA over the past five seasons with 1,322.
