Golden State Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green were both assessed a technical foul in the second quarter of their first-round series against the Houston Rockets in the NBA playoffs. Curry was defended by youngster Amen Thompson and received a ball screen from Green. The two-time MVP was met by Dillon Brooks, who fouled the star guard and fell on the floor.
As he was on the floor, Curry taunted Brooks, and it prompted the Rockets’ swingman to try to get the ball from the four-time champion. However, Green came into the picture and shoved the 6-foot-7 forward to protect his teammate.
The three players had to be separated by their teammates, coaches and the other referees. The altercation led to the play being reviewed by the officiating crew.

After the review, the Golden State Warriors received two technical fouls. Curry was given a technical because of his taunt at Brooks. Green, meanwhile, was assessed the same call for shoving the Rockets forward.

The three players continued the game on the court. However, another stoppage of play happened in the same quarter.
Draymond Green received a fragrant 1 foul

Just minutes after he was part of a skirmish, the Golden State Warriors star was once again the subject of a stoppage of play. With less than three minutes in the second quarter, the forward drove to the basket. He was defended by Tari Eason, who caught the ball and caused the veteran to lose his handle.
Green tried to recover but fell on top of the Rockets forward. His left foot, unfortunately, landed on the back of Eason’s head. The young big man didn’t like how the foot was on top of him, and it started another altercation. He charged at the four-time champion, who pulled on his jersey.
Green also pushed the 6-foot-8 forward with his right shoulder. The two had to be separated again as the officials decided on the right punishment.

Moments later, the officials assessed a flagrant 1 foul on Green for where his foot landed during his fall. With a technical foul earlier, the defensive forward collected three fouls before halftime. Since he already had a technical foul, ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk reported that he won’t be ejected despite his flagrant 1 foul.
