Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga had to leave the team’s Sunday win (148-106) against the San Antonio Spurs with an injury. In the second quarter of the game, Kuminga went up to shoot a layup over two defenders, Devin Vassell and Harrison Barnes. However, he had a terrible fall on the floor, landing on his back. This led him to head to the locker room and not return.
Initially, it was ruled as a right ankle soreness by head coach Steve Kerr, according to the broadcast. However, it was later revealed that the injury he sustained was because of a right pelvic contusion. According to the team, Kuminga has been listed as questionable in the Warriors’ Tuesday game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 2022 champion was limited to six minutes off the bench. He had four points and a rebound before he suffered the injury. According to NBA Insider, Brett Siegel, the 6-foot-8 forward was evaluated in San Antonio on Monday.

Head coach Steve Kerr thought the injury to Kuminga was unfortunate. He told the media what he felt after their dominating victory over the Spurs.
“Such a bummer,” Kerr told reporters. “[He was] just coming back, finding his rhythm, playing well. So, hopefully, it’s nothing too serious.”
Kuminga has played 41 games this season, missing a huge chunk of the campaign because of an injury. He’s averaging 16 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists for the Warriors this season. He’s played nine games for Golden State since missing two months of action. During that stretch, the fourth-year player has averaged 13.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
Brandin Podziemski led the Golden State Warriors over San Antonio

Brandin Podziemski had one of the most memorable moments of the season for the Golden State Warriors against the Spurs. He finished the game with 27 points on 7-for-9 shooting from deep. He also had six rebounds and five assists to help the team win.
Following the team’s 43rd win of the year, Podziemski credited the team’s hot start that eventually helped them win.
“To start the game, we did a good job of keeping our man in front,” Podziemski said. “That led to runouts, a couple easy ones for Jimmy early. We put both together.
The rookie guard also gave Kerr credit for providing his team with a push to perform better as the regular season draws to a close.
