The 2024-25 NBA season ended with a bang as it featured an action-packed Sunday night. One of the games that took place was the season finale for the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers. During the final moments, fans were on the edge of their seats. In the fourth quarter, Stephen Curry led the team with a perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the field. His outing gave them the chance to extend the game into overtime.
However, in the overtime period, their efforts weren’t enough. The Warriors were outplayed by James Harden, who scored 12 points on 75 percent shooting from the field. Even Curry, who was red hot moments before overtime, only had three points on a 1-for-3 shooting clip. Throughout all this, though, one player for Golden State didn’t see any action.

Before the game started, the Golden State Warriors submitted its injury report. The team only had two players, Curry and Gary Payton II, both were listed as questionable. The All-Star point guard was dealing with illness and a right thumb sprain. Payton, meanwhile, was dealing with a bilateral nasal bone fracture.
The two ended up playing against the Clippers. The two-time MVP played 37 minutes and had 36 points and six assists on 58.3 percent from deep. Payton came off the bench and played 24 minutes.
Kuminga was unable to participate in the action because he registered a DNP. In Steve Kerr’s system, the youthful forward has struggled to find his place. He received recognition for his better play earlier in the season. The 6-foot-8 forward, however, missed a lot of games due to injury.
His role was diminished after the trade deadline when the Warriors acquired All-Star forward Jimmy Butler.
Fans react to Kuminga putting up shots following the Golden State Warriors’ loss

Before the game, Kerr expressed his struggle to get Kuminga, Butler and Draymond Green on the floor at the same time. This could be the reason why the Golden State Warriors head coach didn’t include the fourth-year forward in any lineup in the game.
Following the loss, Kuminga was seen putting up some shots in an empty Chase Center.
