Stephen Curry has always been vocal about his desire to see out his career with the Golden State Warriors. Recently, in the wake of Klay Thompson’s departure, the GOAT shooter reiterated his unwavering loyalty to Golden State.
In the same breath, however, Curry also refused to close the door on the possibility of someday parting ways with the Warriors.
Golden State Warriors News: Will Stephen Curry Leave Dubs?
Curry made it abundantly clear that if were up to him, he would like to retire in Golden State. At the same time, however, the former back-to-back NBA MVP acknowledged that in this league, anything can happen:
“I can clearly say I want to be a Warrior for life. It’s always been my goal,” he said. “… But like you said, life, and especially life in the NBA, it is a wild environment, and things change quickly.”

The message here from Curry is that he would love to be a Warrior so long as he is wanted. It’s not as if Golden State is going to turn its back on its cornerstone superstar anytime soon, so this should not be an issue.
The 10-time All-Star, however, also pointed out that in the NBA, nothing is ever set in stone. This could mean that while he feels so strongly about seeing out his illustrious career in Golden State, “things change quickly.”
Much like with Thompson, nobody ever imagined a few years ago that the Warriors would ever let him go. Yet here we are.
