The Golden State Warriors eked out their fourth win in a row on Saturday night and Draymond Green moved up a notch on the franchise’s all-time assists list during the 115-110 victory over the Detroit Pistons. Sounds like a great night for the former NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
The Warriors announced Green’s milestone right after he dished out his fourth dime in the game against the Pistons at Chase Center in San Francisco.
“Draymond Green has passed Guy Rodgers for 2nd most assists in franchise history,” the Warriors announced on X (formerly Twitter).

Draymond Green hits Golden State Warriors milestone in win vs. Pistons

Green entered the Pistons game third on the franchise’s all-time list with 4,852 career assists with the Warriors, needing just three to tie Rodgers for the No. 2 spot and four to take solo ownership of that position.
Rodgers, a four-time NBA All-Star, played a total of four seasons with the Warriors from 1962 to 1966. Meanwhile, the Warriors’ all-time assists leader is Stephen Curry, who has 6,460 assists after adding four more to his name in the encounter with the Pistons.
The 35-year-old Green, who was selected by the Warriors in the second round (35th overall) of the 2012 NBA draft, had 12 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and a steal. So far in his career, he has 4,858 assists through 863 games with the Warriors.
