In case you forgot, former All-Star Rasheed Wallace once stated that his Detroit Pistons would have “beat the s**t” out of the 2017 championship-winning Golden State Warriors. To be fair, the mid-2000s Pistons were a real problem in the league, and they too took home a chip in 2004.
As expected, Draymond Green clapped back at Wallace’s bold take by saying that there was no way the Pistons were beating the Dubs and that Wallace was “tripping.”
Chauncey Billups, who was arguably the best player on that infamous Pistons squad, has now spoken out to share his thoughts on this polarizing issue.
Golden State Warriors News: Chauncey Billups Weighs In on Draymond Green-Rasheed Wallace Debate
In a recent appearance on Carmelo Anthony’s 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, Billups shared his brutally honest thoughts on the matter at hand. Apparently, the Portland Trail Blazers head coach is taking Green’s side in this debate.
“I think that team, with [Kevin Durant], it would have been tough for us with KD,” Billups said. “KD would have been tough. Them other team that they won with, (we) would have rocked them.
“… Even though I trust and believe in Tayshaun (Prince) all day, but KD is a different beast.”

Billups did say that he loves Wallace, but in the end, he just couldn’t agree with his former teammate’s take. The simple reason for this is because of Kevin Durant. Billups is confident that his Pistons would have handled the other iterations of the Warriors, but he’s come to terms with the fact that they would have had no answer for KD.
