Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry isn’t looking to call it quits anytime soon. Curry has just finished his 16th season in the NBA and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. The Warriors star appeared in 70 games, averaging 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and four assists on 44.8 percent shooting from the field. He also led the team to the sixth seed in the Western Conference, but they were eliminated in the second round against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

At 37 years old, he’s still one of the best players in the league. However, there have been conversations regarding his potential retirement. He’s one of the oldest players around the association, and he’d likely want to finish his career while he’s still an elite talent.

Amid the talk about his future, his father and former NBA star Dell Curry gave a surprising revelation on what’s next for the four-time champion.

The 1994 Sixth Man of the Year was interviewed by RG’s DJ Siddiqi on Monday. According to Curry, the 11-time All-Star isn’t thinking about retiring from the game of basketball yet.

“He still loves the game,” Curry said. “He’s a competitive guy. He wants to win another title, so we’re not even close to that window yet. But when the time comes, I think he’ll make the right decision.”

Even though he’s one of the older players in the league, Curry thinks his son can still make an impact.

“Absolutely, just because he can shoot the basketball, and he’s going to require attention,” the former Charlotte Hornets guard said about Curry. “Even if you put him in the corner at 40, 41 years old, you have to guard him. That means that he’s creating space for other guys around him.

“If you can shoot the basketball, there’s a team that can use you in today’s NBA. But if you’re Steph Curry, I think you’re going to be able to play until you say, ‘I’m done.'”

Former Lakers star spoke highly of the Golden State Warriors star

With the things that the Golden State Warriors star has done for the game of basketball, there’s no denying that he’s going to leave a deep-rooted legacy. One of the star players who came before him, former Los Angeles Lakers guard Magic Johnson, commended the former Davidson star as one of the greatest players.

“First of all, he’s one of the greatest of all time. Then he changed the game forever, right? Because nobody we’ve seen ever with the ability of Steph Curry to shoot that basketball. The greatest shooter we’ve ever seen in history,” Johnson said.

Johnson credited Curry for bringing a new wave of fans, further expanding and enlarging the fanbase.
