While everyone understood that the Golden State Warriors’ future has been in doubt since failing to make the postseason, it’s still strange to see the Warriors in their current state.
Nobody thought Klay Thompson would ever leave the Dubs, but Stever Kerr admitted that the sharpshooter’s move to the Dallas Mavericks was the best thing for his career. While Draymond Green is still with the Warriors, rumors of him leaving via trade for a more suitable player continue to make rounds online.
Stephen Curry is the only player of the dynastic Warriors core who will most likely retire playing for only one team. The 36-year-old superstar is still one of the most dominant players in the NBA, and that won’t likely change any time soon.
Chef Curry is currently focused on working with Team USA to help the team reestablish the country’s hegemony on top of the international basketballing community. The future Hall of Famer took this opportunity to reveal his newest set of signature kicks.
Stephen Curry wears Stephen Curry 12s during Team USA’s training camp
Fans who kept tabs on Team USA”s training camp would have noticed the Baby-Faced Assassin donning a new pair of kicks.
Footwear News’ Peter Verry confirmed what many fans thought of the photos and revealed details about the Curry 12s:
Under Armour, the brand that backs his Curry Brand imprint, confirmed with FN via email that Curry was wearing his upcoming Curry 12 signature shoe. The brand also stated Curry will wear these while competing for Team USA, and that a limited North American release is set for August, with a wider global launch slated for the fall.
Curry debuted two colorways of the shoe, both dressed in red, white and blue. One iteration was predominantly white with hits of red and blue throughout, and the other that was featured on the NBA’s Instagram account was mostly blue with red and white accents.
It will be exciting to see him play with Team USA wearing these fresh kicks. Hopefully, they can win gold while the veteran sharpshooter is packing heat.
Will Stephen Curry win a fifth ring with the Golden State Warriors?
With the way the Western Conference is set up, it’s hard to determine if Stephen Curry will win another NBA title with the Dubs.
The team made moves that should keep the team competitive in the West, but their roster doesn’t look as promising as the other teams they’re competing with.
Jonathan Kuminga will need to step up to become a reliable second option if he doesn’t get packaged for Lauri Markkanen. Draymond Green must also step up his defensive play and cut down on disruptive plays that affect team chemistry. The rest of the role players should also perform their roles to the letter.
Fortunately, the Dubs will always have a chance as long as Curry continues to produce. He was terrific last season, averaging 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists on 45.0% shooting and 40.1% from deep.
If everything falls into place like the front office hopes, the Golden State Warriors will be in for an amazing season.
