A four-game road trip ended with an exclamation mark for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors, who defeated the Brooklyn Nets in a wild come-from-behind 121-119 victory at Barclays Center in Brooklyn Thursday night.
The Warriors had to find their way out of a 22-point deficit, which they successfully did, thanks in large part to another sterling performance by two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry.
The future Basketball Hall of Famer pummeled the Nets for 40 points on a 12-for-20 shooting from the field and a 7-for-13 night from deep. With the win over the Nets, the Warriors finished a four-led trip away from San Francisco, 4-1.
The only loss in that stretch came at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers last Saturday via a stunning 126-119 upset that the Warriors immediately recovered from when they shut down the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, 1119-101.
Stephen Curry is excited to play some Golden State Warriors home games

Following the Nets game, Curry said “Let’s go back home!” while walking in the tunnel to the Warriors’ locker room (h.t NBA’s X account).

Curry operated like a one-man show during the road trip, as though he had something to prove. He and the Warriors are going back home after he averaged 34.8 points on a 55.1 field goal percentage and 51.6 percent shooting from behind the arc while dishing out 7.8 assists and grabbing 4.6 rebounds.
With the form he is on right now, Curry seems like very bad news for the Detroit Pistons, who’ll be the Warriors’ first visitor in a seven-game homestand that begins this coming Saturday.
