Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry had an incredible night against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. Curry led the team in scoring with 52 points, leading to a 134-125 win. The star point guard was unstoppable from beyond the arc as he knocked down 12-for-20 shooting from beyond the arc. The four-time champion also made 51.6% of his shots from the field.
Curry added 10 rebounds and eight assists on the night. Defensively, he was a pest with his five steals and a block. His teammate, Jimmy Butler, helped with 27 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. The All-Star forward was aggressive in scoring the basketball as he shot 12 free throws in the game.
Draymond Green also had a big night with a triple-double. The defensive forward had 13 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.

While other Warriors players contributed a lot to the team’s win, Curry’s outstanding scoring night was the main attraction. Fans were surprised with how well the two-time MVP played against Memphis, especially from downtown.

The Golden State Warriors react to Curry’s scoring performance

Curry’s coaches and colleagues responded similarly to his scoring spree, while supporters attempted to gather themselves after what he did for the Golden State Warriors. Head coach Steve Kerr praised his star player’s performance after the game, saying that he scored the basket while the defense was focused on him.
“The guy is 37 years old. Incredible. Fifty-two points with people draped all over him all game long. The conditioning. The skill. The audacity. The belief. It’s just incredible to watch Steph at work,” Kerr said.
Curry’s teammate, Moses Moody, was also in awe of what he saw. Even though the guard has played alongside the 11-time All-Star, Moody was still stunned by the performance.
“You’ve got remember to play the game when you’re sitting there watching him do stuff like that. … That’s a special performance from a special player,” the Golden State Warriors guard said.
