Just recently, it was revealed that the Golden State Warriors tried to trade for LeBron James from the Los Angeles Lakers. Although that move never materialized, former Dubs general manager revealed it did, which could have formed one of the best duos in NBA history.
Ever since James entered the NBA in 2003, the All-Star forward has established himself as one of the greatest ever to play the game. Over the course of 21 seasons, the Los Angeles Lakers star has won four rings, four Finals MVPs, four MVPs, and 20 All-Star selections, among others.

This year, James has broken Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record and became the league’s all-time leading scorer. He is also the first player to score 40,000 points in the NBA.
For his part, Curry also boasts an impressive resume over the course of his NBA career. Like James, he has also won four championships to go along with two MVPs and one Finals MVP. The Warriors star holds the league record for the most three-pointers made.
Former Golden State Warriors GM Bob Myers Reveals Wish of LeBron James Playing With Stephen Curry

The thought of having James and Curry on one team has been a fantasy for many fans. Turns out, Myers has the exact wish, one that could have happened before the previous tradeline expired. The former Golden State general manager shares more in this video posted by Chris Scorch on X:

There’s no doubt a James-Curry duo would wreck havoc on the NBA. As Myers described the pairing, the Lakers star would run point and facilitate the offense while Curry is going to get tons of buckets from James’ passes.

Although Myers said the potential team-up won’t happen, there’s still a chance for the two to work together in the future. Stranger things have certainly happened and both stars may find themselves on the same team soon.
