Caitlin Clark has been tearing it up for the Iowa Hawkeyes all season long, making her more popular than ever. And after people compared her to Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors star gets real on what he thinks about those comparisons.
In the four seasons Clark has played for Iowa, the college star has averaged 28.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. She’s also connecting 46 percent of her shots from the field, 37 percent from deep, and 85 percent from the free throw line.

This current season alone, Clark has elevated his game to a whole new level. Over the course of 33 games, the young guard has posted averages of 31.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists, and 1.8 steals per contest. Furthermore, Clark has shattered Pete Maravich’s previous record and has become the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer.
Meanwhile, Curry’s three-season run in Davidson is somehow similar to that of Clark. During that period, the Warriors star averaged 25.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. He also shot 45 percent from the field, 38 percent from downtown, and 87 percent from the free throw line.
Golden State Warriors Star Stephen Curry Gets Real On Caitlin Clark Comparisons

After Clark became the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer, a lot of comparisons have been made between her and Curry. Speaking to CBS Mornings, the Warriors star shared his thoughts about being compared to Clark:

“I’ve been watching from afar and understanding just how much of a power she is out there on the court,” Curry said during the interview. “The cool part is the way that she plays, and her range, and the level of difficulty on her shots is obviously a very close comparison to the way that I play.”
Curry added that the comparisons between him and Clark don’t do her game any justice. He said that the Hawkeyes star’s game is better and she’s capable of getting triple-doubles consistently.

Even with all of his accomplishments in the NBA, Curry can still hand out some serious praise for someone like the Hawkeyes star. And with the Clark going pro soon, it’s only inevitable to see them face off in a three-point contest.
