Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has been one of the best stars in the NBA. Curry has changed the way the game is being played, simply because of his talent and ability to shoot from anywhere on the court. His excellent shooting from long-range has often been a problem for the defense. Often, opposing teams have trouble making a game plan for the Warriors because of the gravity Curry commands.
On Sunday, Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs joined WNBA legends Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi on their show. The former athletes covered March Madness’ UConn and South Carolina’s championship game. During the broadcast, one X (formerly Twitter) user asked Suggs about which players have been the most challenging matchups.

Suggs mentioned Curry as the most challenging matchup he’s ever had in the league. Given how great of a scorer the Warriors star is, even an elite defender like the Magic guard has difficulty staying in front of the four-time champion.
“I’d say Steph,” Suggs said. “Partly, just because of who he is. But the challenging part of chasing him around and having to be engaged off the ball and on the ball. That’s hard for me.
“Just who he is. He’s technically shooting from everywhere.”
After revealing his answer, Taurasi chimed in. According to her, she believes Curry is underrated because he doesn’t get mentioned that much in certain discussions.
“I think when you talk about underrated players, I think Steph’s underrated,” Taurasi said.

Bird, the Seattle Storm legend, also had comments regarding Suggs’ answer. According to her, she believes the two-time MVP deserves to be mentioned alongside greats like LeBron James and Michael Jordan.
Golden State Warriors head coach believes Curry is one of the greatest to ever play

One of the people who has seen the growth and emergence of Curry is Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr. Last month, Kerr complimented the franchise star by calling him a great player, for the way he’s broken barriers, changed the game and being unique.
“It’s different; the way he impacts the game is different,” Kerr said. “When you have these conversations about ‘Who’s the greatest ever?’ you automatically go to these genetic marvels… Steph doesn’t fit that normal mold. I love that Shaq is bringing that up because, from a skills standoint, it’s not even close. [Curry] is the greatest ever from a skills standpoint,” Kerr said.
These comments came after NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal said that Curry should be part of the GOAT discussion.
