Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been reinstated from his indefinite suspension. Now, the question of everyone is: when will he be playing for the Dubs once again?
It has been a little over three weeks since Green was suspended by the NBA for striking Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face during their game. During that time, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr admitted that Green didn’t meet or join the team in their practices despite the fact that he’s not restricted to do so.

Green missed a total of 12 games as he underwent counseling and several progress meetings with the league and the Warriors. Sure enough, after being sidelined without competitive basketball for such a long time, it’s only reasonable to expect that Green won’t be able to immediately play for the team.
Now according to the latest updates, Green will need at least a week to return to game shape. He is set to rejoin the Warriors for the first time since his mid-December suspension on Sunday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
“After league’s reinstatement of Golden State’s Draymond Green, it is expected that he will need approximately a week to ramp up for a game return, sources tell ESPN,” Woj wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
The Golden State Warriors play the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. Naturally, Draymond Green won’t be able to play in that contest. Next week, however, the Dubs have three games, as they are scheduled to play the New Orleans Pelicans, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks. If he doesn’t play in those matches, his next chance would be in the following Monday when they play the Memphis Grizzlies.

Draymond Green’s Reinstatement With the Golden State Warriors
Draymond Green’s return to the Golden State Warriors couldn’t have come at the best possible time. With Chris Paul suffering from a hand fracture and set to undergo surgery, they could really use all the help they can get.
With Green in the fold, at least the Warriors are sure there’s someone who can anchor the defense. Dray is averaging 9.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game this 2023-24 season.
Hopefully, though, Green has already learned his lesson and will be able to avoid trouble moving forward.
In the league’s statement confirming his return, the NBA highlighted that he has “demonstrated his commitment to conforming his conduct to standards expected of NBA players.”
“He has engaged in meetings with a counselor and has met jointly on multiple occasions with representatives of the NBA, the Warriors, and the National Basketball Players Association, both of which will continue throughout the season,” the statement shared, via Marc J. Spears of ESPN and Andscape.
It’s still unknown when exactly Green will be able to play for the Warriors. But as he starts his return-to-play work, it shouldn’t be too long.
