TCU Horned Frogs star Hailey Van Lith has had a rough past season, as she experienced transferring from one school to another. However, it turned out that a breath of fresh air and a change in environment was what Van Lith needed to bring out the best in her, as attested to by her head coach, Mark Campbell.
TCU Horned Frogs guard Hailey Van Lith got nothing but words of praise from her team’ ‘s head coach, Mark Campbell. In a post-game press conference following their win against West Virginia, the head coach proudly categorized van Lith as one of the pros already.
“She is the ultimate competitor in everything she does, in her grind, in her preparation, we have a pro that’s still in college is what we have,” Campbell said. “The impact that she’s had on this group, our staff, and then just TCU women’s basketball, I am just forever grateful for Hailey and these nine months.”

He also praised the star player’s ability to not only play well but also to influence the people around her.
“Hailey is one of those kids that changes your whole program in every area,” the head coach continued. “Since the day she’s been here, her work ethic, it opens your eyes to all your players on your team, your staff, and this is what it looks like.”
Van Lith had an outstanding performance in TCU’s 71-50 victory over West Virginia. She led all scorers with 26 points, shooting 8-of-12 from the field. Van Lith also contributed significantly on the defensive end, helping TCU maintain a strong lead throughout the game.

Hailey Van Lith’s efforts were complemented by Sedona Prince, who added 20 points, eight rebounds, and seven blocks.
Hailey Van Lith Gives Praise to TCU Head Coach
Hailey Van Lith also had a lot of good things to say about her head coach Mark Campbell. She gave huge credit to her coach for helping her transition smoothly at a time when she struggled to find her place after transferring from one school to another.

“Sometimes, God just puts things on your heart, and I immediately knew that that was a school I needed to check out,” she said. “It was a chaotic time for me, I had just made the or I was trying out for the Olympics, there was a lot going on and for me to really feel like, everyday I wake up something was telling me to pick up the phone and call coach.
“I can’t really explain what I think it was.”
Hailey Van Lith was thinking about coming to TCU before Mark Campbell even called her.

Hailey van Lith added: “That’s just God working in my life, I can’t really explain what I think it was.”
