The Houston Rockets are a lock to participate in the 2025 postseason with their 42-25 record, and there is still a month’s worth of regular-season basketball to be played. Thanks to the contributions of their key players, they remain successful in the 2024-25 campaign.
While some may mistake their success as mere luck, Ime Udoka has done a terrific job of helping the Rockets become one of the most exciting young teams to watch in the league. His ability to maximize a scrappy team led by Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun has seen them sit comfortably in the league standings.

While some may argue that the Rockets can cruise their way to a deep postseason appearance, Green thinks that this is the perfect time for his team to make a statement and close the season strong.
Jalen Green believes the Houston Rockets should finish the season strong and contend for the No. 1 seed

The 23-year-old shares his belief that his team should work hard to finish the regular season strongly and build up a strong postseason run.
Per Athlon Sports’ Horace Shivers:
“It feels good as I get the question asked to me all the time as I have never been in this situation before. I don’t want to get too high at the moment as I just want to enjoy the moment and what we are doing. At the same time, I want to make sure we keep our feet on the gas,” said Green.
The Rockets’ current season is the first time in the young guard’s career that he’ll finish the season with more than 41 wins. The four-year veteran understands how tough it is to win in the NBA, and he’s learned not to take these things for granted.
Jalen Green is doing a marvelous job in leading the Rockets to their first playoff appearance in the post-James Harden era. The former G League Ignite standout is putting up 21.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists on 43% FG and a 36% clip from the three-point line.

He also proved vital in the Rockets’ narrow 114-117 win over the visiting Chicago Bulls. He had a fantastic game, finishing the night with 28 points on 11-for-25 shooting, six rebounds, three assists, and one block.
