Jalen Green will use the 2025 NBA playoffs as motivation to improve after the ups and downs he experienced during the Houston Rockets’ seven-game first-round series against the Golden State Warriors.

After recording only seven points in his playoff debut, Green dropped 38 points in Game 2. But since then, the 23-year-old guard failed to score more than 12 points for the Houston Rockets in his next five games, including three single-digit performances in Games 3, 4, and 7.
“Besides that one game, s***,” Green said about his first playoff experience via Rockets Wire’s Brian Barefield. “Straight s***. I got to be better. First playoffs isn’t an excuse. Yeah, I’ve got to be better.”

“I know what I need to do,” he continued. “Get in the gym and working and preparing for next season.”
Houston Rockets News: Draymond Green revealed unique plan to “shut down” Jalen Green
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green said during the postgame press conference after Game 7 that his team made it a point to get the ball out of Jalen Green’s hands as much as possible.

“We made it a focal point to try to take him out of this series,” the four-time NBA champion said. “We know what they are capable of when he is scoring. So, we really wanted to take him out of the series.”
In the final five games of the series, Jalen Green only made 16 shots for a subpar 37.2 percent from the field and 29.5 percent from three-point range.
